Grand Canyon Hostel |
Unfortunately got a room with a broken window. Next day we could change to a better one – quiet old house. Rooms were okay, facilities old but clean. Breakfast was okay as well. Place to stay for 1 night. |

New York City |
HI New York City |
Huge hostel with good facilities: café downstairs, huge kitchen area, laundry, dryer, tv room. Very modern bathrooms. Simple rooms with AC. Breakfast is okay. I really liked the tours organized by the hostels which were perfect to explore the city. Location is great – by metro only 15-20 minutes to the city – Central Park just 2 stops away. |

I loved this place – hippie hostel, chilled atmosphere close to the beach. Nice little breakfast, well maintained dorms and bathrooms. Great for surfing or just hanging around. Free shuttle to city center. |

Santa Monica |
HI Santa Monica |
Stayed there a few times – just a short walk away from the beach, in the center of Santa Monica and a short drive away from Los Angeles. For me the perfect place to stay. Laundry service, nice common area, activities every night and good dorms with clean new bathrooms. If you got the wrong room it can be a bit noisy. |

In the middle of nowhere but okay if you are travelling by car. Bunk dorms and bathrooms are clean, well maintained. Kitchen is bit pricy. Spa facilities offered. Okay for 1 night as it is a bit of a drive to Yosemite. |

9th Ave Hostel |
Chilled out atmosphere – felt like a normal house. The staff is very nice – the dorm rooms in the basement. Not the cleanest hostel I ever had, but okay for 1-2 nights if you arrive by car. Little kitchen for self cooking. |
